CONTEMPORARY LANDSCAPES

‘Contemporary landscapes’ works were selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2025 and 2026.

These works made in 2025 are Oleksandra`s reflection on the ongoing global crises. The artist uses images of smoke, dust clouds, and explosions saturating todays media.  

‘The smoke is calm even if it comes from a violent source. It`s beauty highlights the self-destructive tendencies of civilization. In `Contemporary landscapes I aim to capture the paradox of destruction and serenity. It interwinds with my Sleeping series to freeze a dreamlike moment in time and space’.
